GitHub in ninedot.

Repos, and what each business is built with. Your repos (name, homepage, last push) and, during setup, a repo's package.json and the names of its root files.

Read-only · the key itself can be limited to read · disconnect any time

What you get

  • exactEach repo as a service on the business it builds, matched by its homepage
  • measuredWhat a business runs on, from its dependencies and config files, to suggest what to connect

Exact is read straight from GitHub. Measured is derived from usage or a rolling 30-day window. Only those two are ever counted. Where GitHub can't report a bill, ninedot suggests the plan's list price and you confirm what you pay. That figure counts in your own totals, marked Confirmed by you, and is never shown as verified.

Connecting takes a few minutes

  1. Create a Fine-grained token (read-only)Contents: Read-only (Metadata is included). Choose the repos, or all of them. Create it at github.com.
  2. Paste it in the VaultIn ninedot, open Vault → GitHub → Connect. The key is checked, encrypted at rest and only ever read by ninedot's servers.
  3. Put it on a businessninedot suggests which business each service belongs to, by domain or name. Accept it in one click, or link it by hand.

Limits, honestly

  • A fine-grained token covers one owner; connect one per organisation.
  • Monorepos are read from the root package.json only.
  • Nothing is ever changed on GitHub.

Questions

Does ninedot read my code?
No. It reads repo names and homepages, and during setup the package.json and the list of files at the root, to suggest what to connect. Source files aren't read or stored.
Can an AI agent read this too?
Yes. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code connect through ninedot's MCP server and get the same figures with the same trust levels. Agents can never change your GitHub account.
